German electrohouse veterans Booka Shade are closing out the year on an introspective note with an rare ambient mix. The Get Physical label they run with M.A.N.D.Y. will release Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs) on December 12. The duo Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, known for club bangers such as “Body Language,” will showcase their softer, spiritual side with this collection of 13 songs, most culled from their back catalogue. New track “Paper Plane” and an unreleased Trentmoller remix will make their debut on the mix. The mix will be available only on iTunes.

While German duo Booka Shade is known for its danceable tech-house, this holiday season finds cohorts Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger laying low to a mellower kind of groove. On December 12, the boys are releasing a special digital album on their Get Physical Music label. Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs) is a collection of emotional and melancholy ambient songs to chill out to while you recover from all the eggnog and New Year’s Eve debauchery. Популярный японский диджей Satoshi Tomiie, от которого уже давно ничего не было слышно, спохватился и решил напомнить о себе. Ведь не зря он является резидентом лейбла Def Mix и до сих пор чрезвычайно востребован по всему миру. Вот и повод отличный нашёлся – очередная компиляции лейбла Renaissance, релиз которой произойдёт 3 ноября.

Любовные отношения уроженца Страны Восходящего Солнца с рекордингом Возрождения ничуть не охладели: после выпуска Renaissance: The Masters Series в прошлом году Сатоши было предложено сделать то же самое и в 2008-ом. Сказано – сделано. Японец записал два микса на двух дисках, такие же глубокие по звучанию, как и все предыдущие компиляции этой линейки, но, естественно, выдержанные в лучших традициях современных трендов.

В то время, как первый диск предлагает нам погрузится в более мелодичное хаус-звучание, вторая часть компиляции всё же ориентирована на танцпол. Как и положено, не обошлось без вклада самого Сатоши: во вступительном треке слышны звуки его синтезатора, ну а добавлять лупы и эффекты во время микса у японца уже вошло в привычку. Кроме того, в треклисте присутствует и собственный трек Tomiie – под псевдонимом Mes.

Mike Litt is one of the longest-working DJs spinning house in Germany. Born in Washington DC he became well known as a DJ and radio presenter at WDR Radio 1 LIVE. He travels around the globe honoring events as “Mayday”, the “Miami Winter Music Conference” or the “Privilege” (Ibiza) and regularly plays at “Tribehouse” (Neuss). He released several mix-compilations at “Ministry of Sound” and “Kontor”. On his course he released several tracks and remixes on various imprints. Finally we come to the point that Mike presents his latest DJ-mix at Circle Music called “Out in The Street” – based on the track from Bruce Springsteen

2 years of house and techno have left some formative experiences thus Mike points out the fact that a handmade mix without software or further corrections is something lively and honest. There are little bumps and inaccuracies which emphasize the goal of this compilation: Catching the perfect moment while sliding deeply into house, minimal, dub and reduced electro sounds. The compilation shows Mike’s sense for a heterogenic and variable mixture of great dance tracks and producers:

With musicality running through his blood, this young Motor City-to-New York City transplant has got the skills to re-invent a genre? Taking formal piano and trumpet lessons by age 12, at age 13 doing session work with an uncle and by 14 was performing live with his Aunt's blues band. Fast forward a few years and 20-year-old Quentin was in the studio working as a session musician with Aretha Franklin.

Quentin soon discovered hip-hop and house music culture, regularly stepping toe-to-toe with then unknowns Eminem and Slum Village at then promoter Maurice Malone's seminal open mic sessions at The Hip Hop Shop on 7 Mile, while feeding a 12” vinyl addiction at the legendary Record Time store.

Moving to New York in 1998, Quentin has made a name as THE go-to remixer for major label R&B hits, delivering genre-shattering dance hits by Chaka Khan, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Coldplay, Maroon5, Shakira, India.Arie, and Floetry. His original productions have him winning the respect of musically diverse A-List DJ’s Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Craig, Frankie Knuckles, Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Deep Dish, Derrick Carter, Francois K, Joe Claussell and Danny Krivit.

The top DJ and producer from Brasil released on Labels like Harthouse, Missile, Primate, Audio and on his own label Noise Music and also worked with big names like DJ Preach, Paco Osuna, Ken Ishii, Circle Music’s Alex Flatner and his mate and brother in mind Marco Lenzi. For the new La Terrazza compilation he mixed and compiled the first CD with the right passion and trade for minimal and fragile sound structures never forgetting the intensity a pulsating dancefloor needs to be pushed on the next level. Sergio Patricio apparently is one of the best Spanish DJs and a master at reading the vibe on the dancefloor. He travelled and played in Paris, Treviso, Amsterdam and Moscow.
