German electrohouse veterans Booka Shade are closing out the year on an introspective note with an rare ambient mix. The Get Physical label they run with M.A.N.D.Y. will release Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs) on December 12. The duo Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, known for club bangers such as “Body Language,” will showcase their softer, spiritual side with this collection of 13 songs, most culled from their back catalogue. New track “Paper Plane” and an unreleased Trentmoller remix will make their debut on the mix. The mix will be available only on iTunes.

While German duo Booka Shade is known for its danceable tech-house, this holiday season finds cohorts Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger laying low to a mellower kind of groove. On December 12, the boys are releasing a special digital album on their Get Physical Music label. Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs) is a collection of emotional and melancholy ambient songs to chill out to while you recover from all the eggnog and New Year’s Eve debauchery.
